Foundations in Health Systems Science - 2025
Like Foundations in Medical Education, Foundations in Health Systems Science is designed as 50-minute lectures and will be offered via videoconference with live recording. The goal is to expand the understanding and incorporation of Health System Science concepts into our curriculum and programs to equip our learners and faculty to appreciate the broader healthcare system, the social determinants of health, cost management, system improvement, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for Physicians, Pharmacists, Nurses, Advanced Practitioners, and all health professions educators across the Geisinger system. Other learner groups such as Residents and Fellows, Non-clinician educators, Program Administrators, and Program Organizers and Directors would also benefit from this education.
In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
