Series Overview

Osteopathic Grand Rounds provides our colleagues and learners an opportunity to learn from osteopathic providers, throughout the year and allow an easier ability to receive the coveted 1A osteopathic credits.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for anyone who is willing to attend. It is primarily focused on osteopathic providers, which includes staff, residents, and medical students. Other learner groups depending on the topic discussed nursing, respiratory therapists, or social workers would also benefit from this education.

Accreditation 

In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Geisinger College of Health Sciences is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity.

The Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credit commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity. 

MOC Recognition Statement: 

Successful competition of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery's Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
