This workshop is designed to develop skills and knowledge in Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who are interested in, or are currently, precepting students on clinical rotations. These skills are essential to providing quality clinical learning experiences for students, and will improve the preceptor experience in clinical teaching. Lastly, providing preceptor development may improve the willingness of APP staff to precept and support growth of our APP preceptor corps.

This is a live educational activity. Fundamentals of Critical Care addressed the early recognition and care of the critically ill patient including vent management to physicians at all levels, medical students, nurses, physician extenders, and ancillary personnel who could encounter these patients many different settings. It addresses shock, respiratory failure, infection, neurological emergencies, and other broad-based situations that other courses such as ACLs, PALS, and ATLS do not address.
