Program Description
This is a Live Educational Activity.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for nurses who will participate in the SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) program at Geisinger.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- complete Forensic examinations and collection of evidence
- provide trauma informed care to victims of sexual assault
- complete Medicolegal photography and specimen collection
- explain indications for sexually transmitted disease and prophylaxis
