Learning Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

  • Review a procedure, its indications, and its follow-up care to determine whether all were appropriate or not.
  • Critically review components of a catheterization/surgery and PCI procedure to determine which components could have been improved and how these changes would likely have affected the overall outcome of the procedure.
  • Identify system elements contributing to adverse events, analyze them within the context of the system and improve both the problematic element and overall functioning of the system.
  • Discuss procedures, indications in general cases, even in the case of no complications.
