  • State the physiological changes that obesity causes on the respiratory system.
  • Describe the mechanisms that explain why obesity is a risk factor for the development of various respiratory conditions.
  • Explain the association between obesity and obstructive sleep apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome and respiratory failure.
  • Review an overview of the benefits of weight loss on the respiratory system.
