Series Overview
Learners will have to opportunity to learn up to date information about behavioral health topics to enhance daily practice within our Geisinger community. Participants will be able to hear a broad range of topics related to behavioral health, psychiatry, and addiction medicine. This regularly scheduled series is appropriate for mental health professionals, medical professionals, staff, and administrators that work with pediatric and adult populations.
Target Audience
This course is designed for psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, advanced practitioners, social workers, licensed professional counselors, administrative personnel, leadership and student learners across these disciplines. Other learner groups, such as, psychology interns, post-doctoral fellows, pre-licensed social work fellows, non-provider administrative staff and leadership would also benefit from this course.

Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Worker Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 1 clinical continuing education credits.
