Series Overview

The target audience for this learning activity is nurses at all levels. Activity topics are relevant to nursing clinical practice and will enhance learner knowledge which can be applied in the clinical practice setting to improve quality of care and the practice environment.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for inpatient and ambulatory nurses at all levels including nursing leadership, nursing professional development, and clinical nurses. Other learner groups such as unlicensed patient care assistant staff and medical assistant/technician staff providing patient care in the inpatient and ambulatory practice settings would also benefit from this education.

Accreditation 

In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation 

Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this activity for 0.5 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity.
