• identify the prevalence of traumatic injuries in the pregnant patient 
• describe the physiologic changes associated with pregnancy 
• identify the pregnant trauma patient’s response to hypovolemia 
• describe the emergency conditions that are of most concern to the pregnant trauma patient 
• describe the treatment for traumatic pregnancy emergencies
