Third Annual Clinical Quality Symposium

The Third Annual Clinical Quality Symposium brings together Geisinger clinicians, educators, and quality leaders to showcase innovative work that advances patient care, safety, and outcomes across our system. This internal forum highlights team-based improvement efforts, fosters collaboration across service lines, and supports the dissemination of best practices aligned with Geisinger’s commitment to high-value care.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, licensed practical nurses, pharmacists, and social workers.  Other learner groups such as medical students, nursing students, residents, fellows, healthcare employees who have contact with patients, and administrative staff with interest in patient safety would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • Identify characteristics of high reliable patient centered care
  • Describe how patient safety is related to patient experiences
  • Describe how human factor interventions prevents medication errors

    Henry Hood Center for Health Research is located on the Geisinger Campus in Danville, Pennsylvania (Montour County), Exit 224 on Interstate 80. Routes 11 and 54 also intersect in Danville.
