Geisinger Endoscopy Nurse's Interventional Course
Target Audience
This activity is designed for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Other learner groups such as Endoscopy support staff would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- explain the pathophysiology and endoscopic management of various gastrointestinal disease
- explain the indications, contraindication, complications, and management of various advanced endoscopy procedures
- report having increased knowledge in indication of advanced endoscopy procedures (at least 70% of attendees)
- identify the difference in interventional endoscopy from observing live endoscopic cases of ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, third space endoscopy, and Endo hepatology procedures with an interactive panel-based discussion
- demonstrate appropriate use of ERCP, EUS, EMR, stents, endoscopic clipping, foreign body removal etc.

All visitors to the Geisinger campus, please park in the patient parking lot. A shuttle bus will take you to the Henry Hood Center for Health Research, please notify the driver when boarding the bus of your final destination.
Travel
Henry Hood Center for Health Research is located on the Geisinger Campus in Danville, PA (Montour County), Exit 224 on Interstate 80. Routes 11 and 54 also intersect in Danville.
