Central Line Course: Test-Out Skill Assessment
Having demonstrated cognitive proficiency and indicating prior placement of a central line in the internal jugular vein during the prework, this course will assess your cognitive and psychomotor skills in a simulated environment. Faculty will evaluate your procedural competence using a standardized checklist and O-score, which will be shared with your program leadership. If you demonstrate competence, you will be exempt from the full in-person portion of the Central Line Course. If not, you will be required to complete the full in-person portion of the Central Line Course.
