This event will be held at the Henry Hood Center for Health Research and simulcast to various locations within the Geisinger system. Participants are expected to attend in person, as there will be no virtual option available for this date. Multiple conference rooms throughout the institution have been reserved, and moderators will be present in each room to manage attendance.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for all providers (allopathic & osteopathic), nurses, and physician assistants involved in the care of outpatients and inpatients.   

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • integrate principles of patient hand off into patient care
  • integrate principles of closing the loop into patient care
  • develop understanding of documenting in patient record
  • explain how the increase of patient safety can decrease malpractice cases
