  1. Discuss current pharmacological agents for anticoagulation including: pharmokinetics, monitoring tools, and clinical indications.
  2. Summarize recommendations for pre-operative anticoagulation management.
  3. Review the literature regarding the incidence and impact bleeding complications as it related to foot and ankle surgery in the geriatric patient.
