Series Overview

Monthly educational program consisting of topic that will improve GI APPs knowledge and clinical outcomes of GI patients. The program is designed as a collaborative learning opportunity for all GI APPs in the Geisinger System. RN’s and pharmacists may also attend and obtain credit.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for GI APPs (NPs and PA-Cs, RNs, Pharmacists. Other learner groups such as LPNs, medical assistants working in the GI clinics would also benefit from this education.

Accreditation 

In support of improving patient care, Geisinger College of Health Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

 

Credit Designation 

Geisinger College of Health Sciences designates this activity for 1 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity. 

This live activity is approved for 1 contact hours (1 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit JA0008072-0000-23*-(FINISHNUMBER). 

Geisinger College of Health Sciences has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. 

 

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
