Scholarly Writing Workshop

Danville, PA US
June 7, 2024
This is a live, in-person educational activity. Academic writing is a key skill for faculty as they engage in scholarship. Although a key skill, many faculty feel intimidated by the process of academic writing. Learning to develop a unique voice and standardized process for writing will lower the barrier for entry to faculty engaging in the scholarly process.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, psychologists, nurse educators, advanced practice provider educators, and pharmacist educators. Other learner groups such as basic science educators and education staff interested in scholarship would also benefit from this education.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • demonstrate the use of academic writing techniques, such as ”problem, gap, hook” and sentence craft
  • create written work that demonstrates coherence
  • explore the use of generative artificial intelligence in academic writing
