SANE Refresher Course - 2026
Target Audience
This activity is designed for registered nurses who will participate in the SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner) Program at Gelsinger.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1. complete forensic examination and collection of evidence, including anonymous reporting
2. provide trauma informed care to victims of sexual assault
3. complete medicolegal photography and specimen collection
4. describe indications for sexually transmitted disease and prophylaxis
