This is an in-person educational activity. There have been advances in our understanding and treatment for variety of autoimmune inflammatory muscle diseases in recent years. Dr. Aggarwal is one of the world’s leading researchers in this field and will be the invited Visiting Professor for these conferences. 
 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for neurology staff and rheumatology staff.  Other learner groups such as neurology learners, internal medicine residents, medical students rotating on neurology and rheumatology would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • describe the new myositis specific antibodies and their clinical disease associations
  • recognize the clinical clues to diagnose the idiopathic inflammatory myopathies 
  • develop sophisticated and detailed management plans for the various idiopathic inflammatory myopathies
