Qualitative Research Bootcamp 2025

This is a virtual educational activity. Geisinger’s Annual Qualitative Research Boot Camp is an engaging, virtual two-day event designed to empower learners, educators, researchers, and practitioners, both within and external to the Geisinger system, to advance their expertise in qualitative research. On day one participants will be introduced to foundational concepts of qualitative research, providing a comprehensive overview of qualitative research essentials. Participants on day two will dive deeper, focusing on study design, advanced qualitative methodologies, and the practical application of associated research methods. This interactive virtual conference combines dynamic didactic lectures, insights from expert panelists, interactive Q&A sessions, and breakout rooms for hands-on learning opportunities. Whether you’re developing your first study or refining your research design, the Boot Camp fosters collaboration and skill-building tailored to your needs.
 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for genetic counselors, physicians, staff scientists, nurse practitioners, and research faculty or staff with interest in qualitative research study design and methodology.  Other learner groups such as SRIP/SURP students, genetic counseling students and genetic counseling assistants would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • explain the significance of qualitative study design and methodologies in research
  • demonstrate understanding of foundational concepts in data collection, analysis, and the dissemination of qualitative research
  • apply practical skills through utilization interactive activities

Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
