Practical Pearls in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology

This is a hybrid Educational Activity. 

This educational activity provides a unique opportunity for attendees to learn the most up-to-date diagnostic and management skills of allergic disorders from the experts in this field. This will not only enhance their knowledge base but will also allow them to offer effective treatment options to their patients.

 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for pediatricians, family practice, internal medicine, pulmonologists, dermatologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners.  Other learner groups such as respiratory therapists and pharmacists would also benefit from this education. 

 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • differentiate between patients with true antibiotic allergies and other non-severe antibiotic adverse reactions
  • describe how to manage patients with severe eczema
  • discuss clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing for food allergies
  • explain how to manage common allergic conditions like asthma, allergic rhinitis, hives swelling and other allergic disorders
