Potpourri of Nursing - 2026
Target Audience
This activity is designed for nurse leaders, clinical nurses, nursing support personnel, and Geisinger School of Nursing alumni. Other learner groups such as nursing students, respiratory therapists, care management, and social workers would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1. recognize and apply principals of workplace violence awareness to help create a safer care environment, reinforcing staff well-being, patient safety, and higher levels of employee engagement
2. examine the essential knowledge and guidance needed to confidently and effectively prepare for a deposition
3. discover ethical principles, standards, and how to apply them in everyday clinical decision-making
4. explore professional well-being and its essential role in supporting safe work environments, improving patient outcomes, and driving the success of hospital systems
5. examine the experience of trauma survivors and their families to strengthen trauma-informed care practices across the healthcare team
