Ophthalmic Technical Personnel Continuing Education Program
Target Audience
This activity is designed for ophthalmic photographers, certified ophthalmic technicians and nurses. Other learner groups such as uncertified ophthalmic technicians, ophthalmology PAR staff, ophthalmology secretaries and surgical schedulers, para-optometric technicians, and opticians would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- exhibit an increased understanding of different ophthalmic diagnostic modalities and their uses
- discuss, navigate, and problem-solve patient hurdles
- summarize common retinal pathologies and their treatments
- exhibit increased understanding of the needs of a low vision patient

All visitors to the Geisinger campus, please park in the patient parking lot. A shuttle bus will take you to the Henry Hood Center for Health Research, please notify the driver when boarding the bus of your final destination.

Henry Hood Center for Health Research is located on the Geisinger Campus in Danville, Pennsylvania (Montour County), Exit 224 on Interstate 80. Routes 11 and 54 also intersect in Danville.
