Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice Conference

This is a hybrid educational activity. Learners should attend this activity to learn about how research and evidence-based practice contribute to the growth and science of nursing and drive clinical decisions and care.  

Target Audience

This activity is designed for nurses at all levels interested in expanding learning related to evidence-based practice and research. Regional university faculty and nursing students will also be invited.  Other learner groups such as interdisciplinary teams including research personnel and APNs would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
  • synthesize key components from evidence-based nursing practice and research utilization to drive the provision of quality nursing care
  • identify the need for research to validate evidence-based practice
  • explore factors that affect new nurse transition to professional practice
  • summarize how nurse driven protocols can improve patient outcomes
  • indicate interventions to reduce Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections

Your attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
