Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Conference
Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practitioners, pharmacists, registered nurses, and social workers. Other learner groups such as fellows and medical students who might be interested in topics discussed would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- review the various types of mechanical circulatory support devices and their specific applications in patient care
- analyze clinical case studies to assess the effectiveness of MCS devise in improving patient outcomes
- demonstrate understanding of proper management and troubleshooting techniques for MCS device complications
- evaluate recent research developments in MCS technologies and discuss their potential impact on future clinical practices
- collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients utilizing MCS devices
