Healthcare delivery science education (HDSE) is increasingly needed by physicians balancing clinical care, practice management, and leadership responsibilities in their daily lives. Continuing professional development initiatives can empower health professionals to optimize strategic and system-focused educational roles and responsibilities.

- explain the relationship between Quality Improvement (QI) and Systems Thinking.
- identify the Model for Improvement.
- summarize fundamental steps for quality improvement.
- recognize undergraduate medical education and graduate medical education expectations for QI.
- illustrate how to introduce EQUIPS and the work for the committee.
