Healthcare delivery science education (HDSE) is increasingly needed by physicians balancing clinical care, practice management, and leadership responsibilities in their daily lives. Continuing professional development initiatives can empower health professionals to optimize strategic and system-focused educational roles and responsibilities.

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- improve the understanding of patient safety
- apply techniques as they follow a medical error and discuss how to classify and report
- use learned strategies to reduce medical error
