Introduction to Learning Theories
Program Description
This is an asynchronous Educational Activity.
This course is designed to provide basic information about some core learning theories and how they are significant in medical education.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
1. describe behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and related theories.
2. explain how learning theories guide educational design.
3. apply changes to their curricular design to reflect the application of learning theories.
Attendance
Your attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity. Completion will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
