At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- identify and describe the principles, structure, and core components of the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS)
- explain and differentiate the roles and responsibilities of HICS positions and their application within Geisinger’s
emergency management framework - demonstrate the ability to activate, establish, and operate a HICS Command Center in response to an incident impacting
Geisinger - apply and evaluate HICS principles during a tabletop exercise by performing an assigned Command Center role to
support incident objectives
