Geisinger Annual Breast Conference

Danville, PA US
October 24, 2025
This is a hybrid educational activity. Breast cancer encompasses a complex range of diseases, with ever-changing detection, diagnosis, and management strategies. As our understanding of biology advances and standards of care improves, new questions and challenges arise, making practice-focused education essential. The Geisinger Annual Breast Conference meets this need by uniting multidisciplinary experts: surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists, geneticists, pathologists, radiologists, and supportive care specialists to enhance patient care in breast cancer.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants.  Other learner groups such as social workers, genetic counselors, medical and nursing students, healthcare administrators, public health professionals and community health workers would also benefit from this education.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • evaluate current evidence-based strategies in the diagnosis and management of breast cancer, including advancements and imaging, pathology and genomic testing
  • integrate multidisciplinary approaches to breast cancer care that reduce a retreatment and aligned with current best practices to improve patient outcomes
  • demonstrate improved communication and shared decision-making skills to enhance patient engagement and individualized treatment planning across diverse clinical scenarios
