Critical Care Conference

This is an in-person educational activity. This conference is designed to share and provide advancements and education of critical care medicine and practice.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists. These professionals may work in the intensive care unit and/or want to expand their fund of critical care knowledge.  

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • identify medication strategies to improve survival in patients with ARDS.
  • identify which patients would benefit from prone positioning vs. supine positioning.
  • explain the evolving guidelines for adult patients with ARDS and describe the possible treatment options.
  • describe how PEEP selection for adult ARDS patients can improve patient outcomes and mortality.
