Annual Dr. Parenti Lectureship Limb Salvage Conference 2026

Scranton, PA US
October 2, 2026
This is a hybrid educational activity. This is an annual lectureship hosted by the Musculoskeletal Institute to highlight the importance of the patient-physician relationship in successful limb salvage as exemplified by Dr. John Parenti. This educational event intends to update attendees on new limb salvage strategies in the context of lower extremity Charcot neuroarthropathy. With an emphasis on a team-based approach, it will synergize new technology and new-age research to better manage Charcot in the foot and ankle. Continuing education is paramount to achieving patient-centric outcomes in devastating neurotrophic injuries and restore function.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Musculoskeletal faculty and staff, including resident physicians, fellows, medical students, and advanced practitioners. Other learner groups such as those in sub-surgical specialties would also benefit from this education.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • explain the epidemiology of Charcot Neuroarthropathy
  • identify key clinical and radiographic features of Charcot in the lower extremity
  • update clinicians on current research as it is poised to impact evidenced-based care in Charcot management
  • articulate functional outcomes and expectations of Charcot feet
  • correlate panel experience and expertise to current system-based practices in Charcot
