28th Annual Community Medicine Update

This is a virtual educational activity. This is an annual conference that will provide valuable information and education on topics commonly seen in the primary care setting.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Family Practice and General Internal Medicine physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.  Other learner groups such as nursing staff in primary care (PCNC) and family medicine students and residents would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • improve recognition of venous and arterial insufficiency along with appropriate treatment
  • increase comfort in pre-operative cardiac clearance exams and medication management
  • discuss the need to have better understanding/interpretation of serum electrophoresis results in the process of working up various conditions
  • explain the necessity of feeling more equipped in utilizing dermatoscope when evaluating pigmented skin lesions

In the unusual circumstance that this course is cancelled, you will be called and/or emailed, and any tuition fees received would be refunded in full.  Geisinger is not responsible for any airfare, hotel or other costs incurred.
 
Attendance
Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
