21st Annual Fall into Step with Respiratory Care

This is an in-person educational activity. Our 21st Annual Fall into Step with Respiratory Care Conference offers topics relevant to any healthcare staff who encounter patients with pulmonary diseases or disorders. Topics will interest those working in either an inpatient setting or outpatient setting. Speakers were carefully selected to encompass both adult critical care and pediatric critical care, pulmonology, and more.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for respiratory therapists, nurses, and providers.  Other learner groups such as any member of the Pulmonary Healthcare team or Respiratory Therapy or Nursing student would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • describe the principles of ICU Liberation and the ABCDEF bundle and explain the respiratory therapist’s role in promoting lung‑protective ventilation, early mobility, sleep optimization, and family engagement in the pediatric ICU
  • highlight ventilatory strategies that address the wide variation in phenotypes seen in BPD
  • present the new CF modulators and how this may change chronic care

Attendance
Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
