This is a hybrid educational activity. All participants will have a greater understanding of the issues surrounding the complexity of pain management. Staff, who care for patients with chronic pain, will have a better understanding of the latest treatments for chronic pain and learn safer alternatives to traditional opioid prescriptions. Providers will be given practical knowledge to better treat patients with chronic pain and addiction. They will, also, learn about integrative medicine as an alternative to traditional medication, interventional, and surgical treatment options for patients with chronic pain.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, physical therapists, psychologists, medical students, residents, and chaplains who care for individuals with chronic pain. Other learner groups such as medical assistants, nurse assistants and patient access representatives would also benefit from this education.
