This is a hybrid educational activity. The Annual Breast Conference offers a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements and best practices in breast care. It equips healthcare professionals with cutting edge knowledge and skills to enhance the quality and appropriateness of patient care. This event is crucial for staying updated on evolving standards and improving patient outcomes. 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for all Geisinger system providers involved with breast cancer including physicians, residents, nurses and advanced practitioners.  

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • differentiate between risk models and how to interpret them and manage patients identified as being at increased risk for breast cancer
  • explain how the 21-Gene Oncotype recurrence score is used in node-positive breast cancer in the RxPONDER trial
  • list the indications for post-mastectomy radiation and axillary radiation
