19th Annual Fall into Step with Respiratory Care

This is a virtual educational activity. Our 19th Annual Fall into Step with Respiratory Care Conference offers topics relevant to any healthcare staff who encounter patients with pulmonary diseases or disorders. Topics will interest those working in either an inpatient setting or outpatient setting. Speakers were carefully selected to encompass both adult critical care and pediatric/neonatal critical care, pulmonology, and more.
 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Respiratory Therapists, Nurses, and Providers.  Other learner groups such as any member of the Pulmonary Healthcare team or Respiratory Therapy or Nursing students would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
  • recognize the importance of V/Q matching in pediatric respiratory failure
  • examine the health effects of EVALI (E-cigarette or Vaping Use–Associated Lung Injury)
  • identify changes to the GINA (Global Initiative for Asthma) and GOLD (Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease) guidelines as published in 2023-2024
  • list indications for surfactant replacement therapy in neonates
