This is an in-person educational activity.
Target Audience
This activity is designed for all educators in all health professions across the continuum of medical education and across the Geisinger system, including but not limited to physicians, pharmacists, nurses and advanced practice providers. Other learner groups such as education and research staff would also benefit from this education.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
- define key concepts in artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, natural language processing, and ethical principles related to AI in medical education
- describe the potential applications and limitations of AI tools in medical education, including ways AI can enhance learning, assessment, and administrative processes
- demonstrate how to use basic AI tools and platforms to create interactive and adaptive learning activities tailored to medical education
- assess the ethical challenges of using AI in medical education, such as data privacy, bias, and transparency, by examining real-world case studies and examples
- develop an action plan to integrate AI tools into an existing curriculum, incorporating best practices for ethical use, practical application, and alignment with learning objectives

There is no parking at the Henry Hood Center for Health Research. Visitors will need to park in the visitor parking lots and take shuttle bus to the Henry Hood Center for Health Research. You will need to inform the shuttle bus driver that you need to be dropped off at the Henry Hood Center for Health Research.
