14th Annual Pulmonary Medicine Symposium

This is a hybrid educational activity. The Geisinger Annual Pulmonary Medicine Symposium is designed to educate healthcare professionals across various medical disciplines, with a primary focus on advancements in pulmonology. The conference emphasizes the latest developments in the field that are applicable to diverse settings of patient-centered care.
 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and respiratory therapists.  Other learner groups such as social workers and care managers would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • identify the current management strategies for the care of patients with COPD, including an understanding of current active initiatives within our institution
  • identify physical examination observations which may be identified important to timely diagnosis and management
  • identify potential global and local health concerns regarding tuberculosis
  • identify potential evidence base for the use of multidisciplinary management for patients with cystic fibrosis
  • identify understanding of the multifaceted approach to patients with rheumatologic conditions and interstitial lung disease

Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
