  • Define avulsion injuries, including partial and total avulsions.
  • Describe highlights of the physical exam findings for determining viable tissue.
  • Guide decision making for acute and delayed management of these injuries.
  • Discuss specific reconstructive principles for forehead, scalp, and ear avulsion.
