Series Overview

As a provider, you can understand how to start a very important conversation about what matters most to your patients. It’s not only about what is the matter with your patients but rather what matters most to them. Every learner should be equipped with communication skills that help us have quality discussions with patients/families about future care and when the time comes, share in that decision making with their providers.  These skills can also be transferred to everyday communications with family and friends.

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, advanced practitioners and nurses caring for patients with serious illness and their families.

Other learner groups, such as, operational leaders, paramedics, bioethics and behavioral health professionals would also benefit from this course.
