At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to: 

  • Explain initial treatment options for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients​.

  • Explain the potential differences between indefinite therapy on lenalidomide and treatment lasting 2 years on lenalidomide.​

  • Explain the background use of CAR T-cell therapy use in conjunction with allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT).

  • Evaluate whether prior CAR T-cell therapy increases the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), nonrelapse mortality (NRM), or adversely affects transplant outcomes after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation.
