Ophthalmic Allied Personnel CE Update

This is an in-person educational activity. This activity introduces new diagnostic technology modalities, highlights advancements in patient treatment and care, enhances the patient experience, and supports efficient clinic workflow.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for Certified Ophthalmic Technicians, Ophthalmic Photographers, RNs, and LPNs.  Other learner groups such as uncertified Ophthalmic Technicians, Ophthalmology PAR staff, Ophthalmology secretaries and surgical schedulers, Para-Optometric technicians, and Opticians would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • summarize common Corneal pathologies and their treatments
  • increase knowledge on Cataract surgery and premium IOLs
  • discuss proper usage and techniques of Bscan Ultrasonography
  • summarize common Oculoplastic pathologies and their treatments

Attendance
Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
