17th Annual Our Mission to Teach Conference: Developing Coaching Cultures Across the Continuum

This is an in-person educational activity. Mission to Teach is a full‑day professional development conference designed to strengthen the skills and impact of medical educators across all stages of training. This year’s theme: developing effective coaching cultures, will equip participants with practical strategies, advanced techniques, and hands‑on experience to enhance learner growth and well‑being. Through engaging keynote sessions and interactive workshops, attendees will build the competencies needed to coach with confidence and contribute to a culture of excellence and equity in medical education. Learners should attend to gain actionable tools and a clear, personalized roadmap for elevating their coaching practice and supporting meaningful professional identity formation.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and physician educators.  Other learner groups such as education and research personnel who support teaching, learner development, program operations, or the broader educational environment, would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • apply core coaching competencies to structure effective, learner‑centered coaching conversations that foster professional growth.
  • demonstrate advanced communication and relational skills that build psychological safety and enhance trust in coaching relationships
  • use evidence‑informed coaching strategies and tools to guide learners through reflective practice, professional identity formation, and the Master Adaptive Learner cycle.
  • recognize early indicators of learner needs and performance gaps and incorporate structured coaching approaches to provide timely, targeted support.
  • integrate a practical, personalized coaching roadmap into their educational role to elevate their coaching impact across the continuum of medical training.

Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
