- Define deskilling in clinical medicine and distinguish automation that supports judgment from automation that replaces it
- Identify clinical workflows in which AI use increases the risk of cognitive or diagnostic deskilling
- Recognize early signs of deskilling in clinicians and trainees, particularly in diagnostic reasoning and clinical narrative construction
- Apply practical strategies to use AI as a cognitive aid while preserving independent clinical judgment
- Discuss implications of AI-driven deskilling for residency training, supervision, and patient safety
