Quantum Medical Education: More Waveform, Less Particle

Enduring - This is a virtual, asynchronous educational session that is part of the Center for Faculty and Professional Development’s Foundations in Medical Education Grand Rounds series.

Felix K. Ankel, MD, is an emergency physician, Professor of Emergency Medicine, and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at HealthPartners. HealthPartners family of care includes six hospitals, a comprehensive system of clinics and an 1,800-physician multispecialty group practice and is a partner for the University of Minnesota Medical School undergraduate and graduate education programs. Dr. Ankel is a former emergency medicine residency director and a Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award recipient given by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He currently serves on the board of directors for the American Board of Emergency Medicine. 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and social workers.  Other learner groups, such as. residents, fellows, medical students, non-clinician educators, GME program administrators and other education staff would also benefit from this education.

  • Discuss the shift from binary to quantum professional identity
