Potpourri of Nursing Conference

This is a hybrid educational activity. 

Target Audience

This activity is designed for nurse leaders, clinical nurses, nursing support personnel, respiratory therapists, care management, and social workers.  Other learner groups such as Geisinger School of Nursing alumni and nursing students would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • empower healthcare professionals to better understand their low-resourced patients' typical challenges and values
  • adjust perspectives while assessing medical situations and patients, to achieve positive health outcomes
  • communicate and engage patients across the economic spectrum
  • verbalize initiatives to support and retain staff through nurse residency and other professional development programs
  • discuss the knowledge of professional wellbeing for all healthcare workers to drive the success of hospital systems to ensure safe work environments for both healthcare workers and patients.

Attendance
Attendance will be recorded within three to four days of the conclusion of the activity.  Credit will display on your continuing education transcript once the activity evaluation is completed.
