2025 Stroke Symposium

This is an in-person educational activity. This event will provide practices and education that are the most up to date, for providing evidence base care to our stroke patients. The panel will present on how roles outside of the neurology specific field has a great impact on the outcomes of those suffering a stroke. There will also be discussion on primary and secondary stroke prevention.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice, nursing, pharmacists, EMT and paramedics. Other learner groups such as social workers and therapy service employees would also benefit from this education. 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

1. identify how to support patients with primary and secondary stroke prevention

2. explain the recovery phase of stroke

3. identify patients psychological needs following a stroke

4. describe what is it to be a stroke center and learn more about the organizations that set our guidelines

    Henry Hood Center for Health Research is located on the Geisinger Campus in Danville, Pennsylvania (Montour County), Exit 224 on Interstate 80. Routes 11 and 54 also intersect in Danville.
