At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Describe the possible adverse effects of givinostat on boys with muscular dystrophy
- Evaluate the statistical and clinical results of the givinostat trial and determine if they are valuable
- Evaluate the efficacy of an IV to PO switch in patients with uncomplicated S. aureus bacteremia.
- Develop a treatment plan for patients with uncomplicated S. aureus bacteremia.
- Compare the efficacy of cefepime/enmetazobactam to piperacillin/tazobactam against extended-spectrum beta-lactamase producing gram-negative bacteria.
- Summarize cefepime/enmetazobactam’s place in therapy for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections and pyelonephritis.
