At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Identify opportunities for enhanced CVD prevention through telemedicine and other innovative cardiac care models.
- Discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has motivated providers and patients alike to prioritize our health, and how we can leverage this increased health awareness and investment into long-term, meaningful disease prevention.
- Discuss what the pandemic has taught us about caring for those vulnerable patients who were most afflicted- older adults, person of color, mental illness and people who are facing adverse socioeconomic circumstances- who continue to be impacted by CVD.
