At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:
- Provide evidence for surgical versus nonsurgical repair of Achilles ruptures.
- Discuss outcomes and indications for direct versus indirect Achilles repair.
- Review the roles of adjunctive procedures such as gastrocnemius recessions and FHL in Achilles augmentation in acute and chronic management of Achilles injury.
